Rob graduated from Clovis High school in 1974. He went on to Fresno City College and Fresno State University where he competed in the 800m run. Rob graduated from Fresno State with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. His credential is Physical Education with a Math add-on.

Rob went overseas to teach in Zaire from 1980 to 1983  Upon his return, Rob landed a teaching job at Fresno Christian High School before going to Clovis High School in 1986. He became Head Cross Country Coach in 1989. He currently teaches Geometry and Algebra 1.

Rob and his wife Vicky live in Clovis with their two boys Jordan and Jeffrey.

Bill Buettner: Assistant Coach

Bill graduated from Live Oak High School, Morgan Hill, CA in 1983. He attended Fresno State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and holds a credential in that subject. He has been teaching at Clovis High since 1991, and currently teaches Geometry.

Bill has been coaching with Rob since 1991. He considers his greatest personal athletic achievement to be finishing the California International Marathon in 1998. Actually, he's just happy he didn't keel over. 

Bill and his wife Beth live in Clovis with their two daughters Megan and Jennifer.
